April 11, 2022 (IANSlife) Each season offers an experience unlike any other. While the start of a new season is exciting, the transitional period is less than ideal. When the seasons change, everything changes, from irritability to seasonal mood swings. The good news is that you can protect your hair from the transitional season's curveballs. Here's how it's done:
Out with the Old
Remove any damage from the previous season and prepare to start the new season on the right foot with a fresh trim. Regardless of hair length, regular trims are necessary to keep your hair healthy and can even promote faster hair growth. Getting your hair trimmed during a seasonal transition will help you get rid of any split ends and give you a fresh, healthy appearance.
Mindful Meals
Our diets must adapt to the changing of the seasons. We are on track to get the most nutrients from our diets by incorporating seasonal fruits and vegetables. It is also critical to consume enough protein to keep your hair luscious. Chicken, eggs, salmon, soy, tofu, and paneer are all excellent protein sources to include in your diet.
Seasonal Showers
When we transition from summer to winter, the temperature of our bath water rises. Hot water, on the other hand, can be detrimental to hair health, so regardless of the season, we must ensure that we use no hotter than lukewarm water on our hair.
Incredible Ingredients
As the seasons change and haircare concerns arise, the best thing to do is to thoroughly inspect your shower caddy. Including the right ingredients in your haircare routine can make all the difference. Look for avocado oil, lemon extract, and olive fruit oil, which are known to deeply nourish, moisturise, and strengthen hair. Coconut oil and amino acids make your hair look fuller and shinier. It is smoothed and softened by the use of andargan oil and babassu oil. Apricot Kernel Oil protects hair from moisture loss and helps it retain colour, whereas sunflower oil is high in Vitamin E and essential fatty acids and is known for its antioxidant properties. The right product formula can protect hair while also increasing shine and lustre. Damage Prevention
When the seasons change and you notice your hair's health deteriorating, it's time to take preventative measures and minimise manual damage to your hair. For example, put your heat hair styling tools away for the time being and embrace your natural tresses. Be gentle with your hair, and avoid using too many chemicals or using extreme temperatures on your scalp.
The next time the seasons change, you won't have to worry about the disadvantages and can instead focus on the adventures that await. All you have to do is remember to fuel your body properly and stock your bathroom cabinet with the necessary ingredients to defeat the unnecessary destruction of your beautiful hair.
