March 8, 2021 (IANSlife) An initiative showcased through a film featuring women who have made their way despite the adversities during their journey and have taken steps to moved ahead will be released by DLF Mall of India to mark the occasion of International Women's Day. It also highlights a powerful message for women and encourages them to challenge the odds to establish themselves.
The launch of the mall's digital campaign to support #ChooseToChallenge focuses on women who are making a difference in society. It video sends out an emotional yet cheerful message through small bytes and insights of their journey, what motivates them to push beyond their limits and what limitations they faced while making a mark. These women are also seen exploring the mall, shopping and having brunch together as they celebrate womanhood with each other.
The five women who are featured in the film have a remarkable journey and are giving back to society despite the challenges that they have faced themselves.
Reshma Qureshi
Reshma is an acid attack survivor is the face of 'makeluvnotscars' - a nonprofit organisation that works with acid attack survivors. She is also an anti-acid activist.
Smriti Nagpal
Smriti is promoting deaf education and awareness of sign language through her organization. She also co-founded a café in Delhi which is run by deaf employees.
Anu Meena
Anu is the founder of AGROWAVE is encouraging Indian farmers to successfully grow and sell produce by helping them optimize their existing agricultural supply chain through analytics, research and technology.
Olivia Deka
Olivia is working towards empowering teenage girls with entrepreneurial leadership mindset and skillsets through her organization ‘She for change’.
Suhavini Singh is the founder of India Cultural Club- India's Leading Art & Culture Instagram Community.
