IANSlife speak to Gauri to get more details on the collaboration and what she has in mind when it comes the designs.

Define your own interior style. Do you believe the pandemic has changed the way you create spaces and view areas in the home?

Gauri: Yes, it has changed a lot. The pandemic made people realise the value of the spaces they live in and work out of. Globally, there is an increased intrigue in consumers when it comes to designing their homes and are moving to a more well-informed decision-making process. I have travelled to many countries, and I have developed a distinct taste in interior design.

No matter the interior expertise one gets, at the end of the day, one needs to add their own sensibilities through accessories to reflect their personality. Do you agree?

Gauri: Yes of course, but what matters the most is the customer's point of view and then comes the design aspect. There must be great synergy between both the parties. The first thing I do is to sit down together and put down all requirements, likes and dislikes, aspirations, and dreams. Basically, what do the people living in that home would want the space to do for them?

Share with us why you chose to partner with Bonito Designs?

Gauri: Being someone who is intrigued by designs since they exude a spiritual vibe and allow infinite creativity, I felt that Bonito Designs creates stellar works of art in the home interior space. I believe in keeping it simple and classy, and my collaboration with the brand will redefine the paradigms of elegance. What also attracted me to collaborate with them is the way they customize each home. The team spends time and tries to understand about each customer before beginning the design process, which is necessary.

What does the brand bring to the table and why do they need your expertise?

Gauri: This collaboration will bring my expertise and the brand's strengths to create dream homes. This will be the first of its kind collaboration where diverse customers from Mumbai and Bengaluru will experience real interior design by me. I have travelled to many countries so I have developed a distinct taste in interior design. Having designed interiors for many friends, contemporaries and distinguished clients, I have worked with many kinds of customers. This collaboration is my way of giving back all that I have learnt.

Bonito Designs recently pre-launched its services in Mumbai and within a month had become the city's second largest organised player. The brand has received tremendous consumer acclaim for its nuanced and differentiated offering, as well as the disruption it brings to the interior design space. The company's ARR has more than doubled and is on track to surpass USD 100 million by the end of FY 2022-23.
