March 18, 2022 (IANSlife) Perry Road Peru, a delightfully strange and seasonal collaboration between Stranger & Sons and The Bombay Canteen, is India's first of its kind - a single-batch, limited edition distilled cocktail. They found the perfect muse to capture Bombay's spirit in the humble and highly seasonal pink guavas ('perus') that line the streets twice a year. Fresh, balanced, and luscious, it lingers on the palate long enough to transport you to a bygone Peru and leaves you wanting more!

This limited edition cocktail, with an intoxicating aroma and a ripe, robust flavour, is the perfect marriage of the potent peru and the 9 Indian botanicals in Stranger & Sons gin. Ripe perus are handpicked and peeled at their peak, then slowly macerated for 6 hours before being distilled for another 18 hours—until every drop is flush with freshness. This seasonal distilled cocktail also comes with a generous pinch of chilli-salt mix, as is typical of Bombay. It can be served over ice in a rocks glass or in a highball with tonic or soda and a spiced rim!

Perry Road Peru, with its balanced flavour and flamboyant hue, will be launched across the country this year, with locations in Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Delhi, Rajasthan, and Goa. By October 30th, 2021, the bottled cocktail is expected to be available in select retail stores. The seasonal Perry Road Peru, like the pink perus it's made with, will only be available in each city for a limited time! What's even more enthralling? With this collaboration, The Bombay Canteen and Stranger & Sons will venture into uncharted territory, curating exclusive 'Perry Road Peru' experiences across cities with the promise of delectable culinary encounters and, without a doubt, more than a splash of your favourite bottled cocktail.

Sakshi Saigal, Co-founder & Director of Third Eye Distillery, had this to say about the decision to take Perry Road Peru across the country: "Perry Road Peru caused quite a stir and tonnes of people resonated with the product in unimaginable ways!" Following the overwhelming response in Bombay last year, we realised that we only needed to create the experience for a larger audience."
