What is your definition of style?

Nathani: Basically style is what you make of fashion. To me, what's interesting about clothes and people is what they do differently from every individual person. Like, it could be a white shirt and for me, what's interesting is to see how differently each person wears that white shirt. I mean, the way they roll their sleeves up or the way they tuck their shirt in and how they accessorize it. So for me, style is what you make of the clothes you have and what you take of fashion and what you make of it.

Who do you think is the most stylish person in Bollywood?

Nathani: To be really, really honest I think Shahrukh Khan is one of the most stylish men. I just like the way he dresses on a daily basis. His personal style is fabulous. He loves a great pair of blue jeans, a white t-shirt, a cool jacket and a fantastic pair of sneakers. So according to me, I think he is the most fashionable, the most stylish person in Bollywood.

Any particular trend for this winter season?

Nathani: For me, a trend every winter season is just fantastic at your layering. Don't be scared to mix colors and prints, I think that's what makes it interesting. Knee-high boots, of course, are a big, big, big trend this winter; I think they go fantastically with everything.

Tell us about your association with H&M' Project Love.

Nathani: So for the H&M Project Love, H&M has tied up with one of my favorite designers, Giambattista Valli. I think he makes the most beautiful clothes. So, it was great for me to do a campaign with their clothes and it was very special for me.

The campaign was all about love and doing the things that we love and being in situations and surroundings that make us happy and that we love being in. With the amount of pressure that we have with work and everything in life nowadays, it’s so important for us to be happy and do things that we really love doing. And this is something that I always say that I'm very fortunate to be doing the things that I love.

You debuted as a mentor at the Myntra Fashion Superstar. How was the experience?

Nathani: My association with ‘Myntra Fashion Superstar’ has been extremely special because this is my first time mentoring and judging a reality show. Also, it's a very interesting concept because we were finding the next fashion influencer and I don't think there's been any reality show that's been made on the lines of our show in India.

I felt they were very real. Each one was very different from each other. They took the feedback really well that we were giving them, and each one had a very individual sense of style, character and life experiences, which is something that I think makes all of us today. It was a great experience working with so many young people from different walks of life.

What goes into planning your own look?

Nathani: I think it was very important for me to set a little bit of a style standard. I loved the idea of dressing up, also it was a great way for me to showcase my sense of style and fashion. It was great for me because I wanted to try something new and move out of my comfort zone as well. It was very interesting to be on the other side of the camera in terms of learning what works, what doesn't work because what you wear in real life translates very differently when you have to wear it on screen.

We had planned each look, I wanted to add color. I wanted my hair and make-up to be different. So, it was a very interesting journey. There were a lot of amazing pieces that I had in my closet which I hadn't worn yet. It was a great platform for me to wear it and showcase fashion because at the end of the day I was representing the show for being a stylist and for bringing a sense of fashion and glamour to the show.
