September 16, 2019 (IANSlife) Bollywood actress Sonnalli Seygal says one should incorporate his/her own personality in their style. The “Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2” star recently turned showstopper at a fashion show at the DLF Mall of India in the national capital region. The event opened the 15-day wedding extravaganza ‘Wedding Tales’ – a showcase of latest bridal trends.
IANSlife caught up with Sonnalli who shared her style mantra, her idea of fitness and more.
Q) Tell us about your association with Wedding Tales?
SS: I had a blast. It was such a beautiful and well-organised event and the wedding collection was amazing. Not just what I wore, but all the pieces and jewellery in the show. It was nice and surreal to walk the ramp. I always love visting Delhi and the north. I loved the dress and jewellery that I wore.
Q) What is your style mantra?
SS: My style mantra is something that goes with time. I like wearing girly clothes and I will keep wearing girly clothes, no matter what the latest fashion is. I believe in incorporating my own personality in what I wear. I do not want to follow others and lose myself.
Q) Three fashion hacks?
SS: Recycle as fashion always comes back. Don't discard your old clothes. Keep your favourite pieces, after a couple of months or years, the trend will be back.
Raid other people’s wardrobe – your mom's, dad's, boyfriend's... They can make for some interesting combinations. I keeping raiding my mom’s wardrobe for sarees.
Don't spend much on clothes, you can always mix and match. In India, we have so many options such as street or branded wear. Have the confidence to carry both a Louis Vuitton as well as a top bought from the roadside with equal panache.
Q) Your preferred look, fashion wise?
SS: Bohemian.
Q) Your fitness travel essentials?
SS: My track suit, sports bra, top and shoes of course. And my earphones, as good music accelerates my workout regime.
Q) Your idea of fitness?
SS: The idea of beauty is becoming a little twisted these days. You work out, you are fit, your skin is tight, body toned and face glowing and you are happy. This is way more beautiful than just being thin.
