Iconic fashion designer Roberto Cavalli passes away at 83

April 13, 2024 (IANSlifeThe Bastian of flamboyant fashion, designer Roberto Cavalli, passes away at the age of 83 in his home in Florence, Italy.  In a statement AFP the company stated, "It is with deep regret and a great sadness the Roberto Cavalli Maison participates in the passing of its founder Roberto Cavalli." 

From humble beginnings in Florence to a running one of the most successful Italian fashion houses, the designer was revered for his signature animal prints, unabashed sexy silhouettes and indulgent styles. The words flamboyance, glamour, sex appeal are associated with the designer who was a global fashion icon. 

"It is with great sadness that today we say a final goodbye to our founder Roberto Cavalli. From humble beginnings in Florence , Roberto succeeded in becoming a globally recognised name, loved and respected by all. Naturally talented and created, Roberto believed that everyone can discover and nurture the artist within themselves. Roberto Cavalli's legacy will live on via his creativity, his love of nature, and via his family, whom he cherishes," reads the stamens on the fashion houses' social media handle. 

Condolences for the legendary designer have been pouring in from the likes of Adriana Lima to Victoria Beckham, Heidi Klum, Georgio Armani and Jennifer Hudson
