ByIANSlife Features

February 24, 2020 (IANSlifePresident of the United States, Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump, are in India on a 36-hour marathon trip which will see them make quite a few wardrobe changes.

On arrival in Ahmedabad, Trump descended from his aircraft dressed in a signature suit teamed with a broad yellow tie. Melania on the other hand paid homage to Indian textiles in a creme crepe jumpsuit. The ensemble, an Atelier Caito for Herve Pierre, featured a sash cinched at the waist made with vintage Indian textile, discovered in Paris through collectors. The sash is made of green and gold silk brocade thread and was used from the border of the textile.

Ivanka Trump and husband Jared kushner join Plotus and Flotus on this visit to India. In a nod to sustainable fashion, Ivanka Trump wore a repeat Porenza Schouler dress. Ivanka was first spotted in the floral printed dress on her visit to Argentina back in 2019. First stop was to the Gandhi Ashram in Ahmedabad and then to Agra to see Taj Mahal. As they make their way to the Capital it's a wait and watch to see if we can spot any India inspired creations.
