February 11, 2020 (IANSlife) City art enthusiasts are in for a spring carnival of ceramic wonders and colourful forms.
On the occasion of the 124th birth anniversary of the founder of Delhi Blue Pottery Trust, Sardar Gurcharan Singh, the artsy festival titled ‘Spring Carnival of Ceramics’ will come as a tribute to him. It opens at Triveni Kala Sangam on February 22.
In the festival, one can witness the wonderful creations of deft hands, as they turn, mould, coil and pinch the clay, creating works of art or utility - no two pieces ever being the same!
On view will be a variety of artworks by Delhi-based artists -- colourful platters and sculptural and functional pieces - in the spirit of the spring carnival, when we say goodbye to the cold winter and enjoy the transition before hot summer days arrive.
The participating artists will be available to interact with the visitors.
