August 25, 2022 (IANSlife) Anupama is a fervent Kathak artist and devotee whose performances have mesmerised audiences throughout India and the far east. She exudes a compelling theatrical presence. Her performances are distinguished by the precision of her movements and her dazzling pirouettes. She credits all of her accomplishments to her Guru Dr. Shovana Narayan and her parents, particularly her father Dr. Naresh Jha, who introduced her to Kathak when she was five years old.

Jha is a student of world-renowned Kathak Maestro and Padmashree Awardee Guru Dr. Shovana Narayan, who is her compass, well of inspiration, and pillar of support.

She has actively supported numerous social issues, including the "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao" campaign for girl child empowerment in Bihar, through taking part in events like the Natyanjali Dance Festival and the NCERT programme. She has also actively promoted Indian tourism through Kathak.
