Shree Saini to raise $1m to solve drug menace in US

November 13, 2019 (IANSlifeIndo-American Miss World America Washington Shree Saini will be raising $1 million to prevent deaths due to drug overdose in the United States.

Drug overdose takes 129 lives victims every day in the US. 

In particular, to solve the drug-addiction epidemic, Shree is working together with organisations on the local, state and national level in the US.

The 23-year-old Indian American student and anti-bullying activist and her mother Ekta Saini took part in a fundraising event in the US that helped to raise some part of the total amount.

“It is an honour to serve our community. I hope everyone takes the time to go out in their local school, city halls and do their part in improving our world," a press statement quoted Shree as saying.

"I am speaking with school students to never start drug experimentation, so they can lead a life free of drug addiction," she added.
