Live event to showcase stories of frontline workers

Through the art of storytelling, it will focus on the brave stories of healthcare workers tirelessly working on the frontlines of the COVID-19 outbreak

April 16, 2020 (IANSlife) National Geographic India will air a special virtual concert 'One World: Together at Home' to address the fight against COVID-19. 

Curated by Lady Gaga, the two-hour program will be hosted by a trio of network late-night hosts: Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, and Stephen Colbert. The concert features actors Shahrukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. The special live event will feature real experiences from doctors, nurses and families around the world.
 

Through the art of storytelling, the programme will spotlight the brave stories of healthcare workers working tirelessly on the frontlines of the COVID-19 outbreak. The live event curated by Global Citizen and the ​World Health Organization (WHO) will air on National Geographic on Sunday, April 19 at 5:30 am (IST) with a repeat telecast at 8 p.m. (IST) on Sunday, April 19. Aimed to unify and inspire people around the world to take meaningful action, the show will feature interviews with experts from WHO as well as real-life experiences of doctors, nurses and families around the world- their courage and sacrifice, a reminder of the urgency of this moment.

 

Other than Shahrukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, it will also include, appearances from the world's biggest artists and performances from the likes of Andrea Bocelli, Billie Eilish, David Beckham, Eddie Vedder, John Legend, Stevie Wonder in support of the fight against a common threat.
