Lollapalooza India, the biggest-ever global music festival across Asia

December 05, 2022 (IANSlife) Music aficionados and live entertainment enthusiasts, prepare for the largest music event experienced across India and Asia.

India is the festival's eighth stop and the first location in Asia, Lollapalooza delivers a multi-genre music experience and its own brand of distinct, diversified, and thrilling flavours from the world of music to Indian shores with this world-class experience that has never been seen before in the subcontinent.

On January 28 and 29, 2023, four stages at Mumbai's historic Mahalaxmi Race Course will be lit up and filled with memorable live music, art, and culture from over 40 performers from a wide range of sounds, styles, and eras for more than 20 hours.

Along with the festival's international producers, Perry Farrell and C3 Presents, BookMyShow, the top entertainment destination in India, is leading Lollapalooza India as its promoter and co-producer.

Imagine Dragons, an indie rock icon making their India debut, and other skyrocketing musical heavyweights take the stage. The Strokes will serve as the festival's opening act, while American classic rock aficionados Greta Van Fleet, the world's leading producer of electronic dance music, and The first Lollapalooza to take place in Asia will feature Diplo, Grammy-nominated and groundbreaking EDM musician Zhu, Indo-Canadian Punjabi music and rap singer AP Dhillon, and Dream-pop artists Cigarettes After Sex.

It is also set to welcome the freshest of international sounds and home-grown superstar performers including Prateek Kuhad, Divine, Japanese Breakfast, Madeon, Alec Benjamin, Jackson Wang, Chelsea Cutler, The Wombats, Imanbek, Kasablanca, Apashe, Raveena, The Yellow Diary, Bloodywood, Sandunes, Aswekeepsearching, The F16s, Kayan, Tejas, House of Hashbass, Madboy/Mink, T.ill APES, Kumail, Kavya, Mali, Tanmaya Bhatnagar, Easy Wanderlings, Abhi Meer, Bombay Brass, ParimalShais, Siri, Tracy De Sa, Aadya- for an unforgettable start to 2023 in the Asian subcontinent.

A treat for Indians and Asians everywhere, the first Lollapalooza Indiawill be open to over 60,000 spectators over the course of both days and will offer not just music but also a cultural experience of a lifetime with unique food offerings, art, fashion, and much more to be observed in India.
