April 23, 2022 (IANSlife) “Being in the beauty industry for a while now, I know one thing: No matter what the circumstances, you shouldn’t let your skin down. It’s the one thing that sticks with you, presents you to the world, and is something that must be perfectly healthy inside out”, says Nandeeta Manchanda, Founder, ENN Beauty.

The Holy month of Ramadan is here, and while you’re fasting, it can automatically reflect on your skin. But not drinking any water doesn’t mean your skin can’t be hydrated!

Nandeeta shares quick tips & tricks to get that evergreen look:

  • Keeping the skin hydrated is the key to having a radiant glow during Ramadan. Use light, hydrating lotions, creams, and serums twice or thrice a day to maintain your skin’s water levels, preferably with ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid and Salicylic Acid. Hyaluronic acid is known to hold 1000 times its weight in water and thus is indispensable for glowing skin during Ramadan. Drink more water than usual between Iftaar in the evening and Sehri early morning to give you a boost of hydration for the entire day. Eating citrus and juicy foods and fruits that are rich in water and would ensure optimum hydration is a must.
  • Use mild, gentle cleansers to cleanse your skin every morning. Cleansing is the first important step towards restoring a radiant glow during Ramadan. Choose a cleanser that helps remove dirt and impurities clogging your pores as well as deeply hydrates to avoid skin dryness due to fasting.
  • Exfoliate thoroughly. Scrubbing away dead skin cells and giving your skin a nourishing buff is an important step toward achieving glowing skin. Adding a natural, mild exfoliator or face scrub to your skincare routine, at least twice or thrice a week is the way to go. It makes your skin soft and plump in the nick of time. Using a sugary lip scrub to exfoliate your lips and make them fuller can be a pleasant addition to your exfoliation process.
  • Do not forget sunscreen, if you’re going out in the sweltering sun this Ramadan. Fasting, too with summer at its peak can damage the skin beyond bounds. Opt for a sunblock that provides triple spectrum protection, to make a way out of the harmful UV rays without having to deal with pigmentation and sun damage. Make sure the sunscreen is at least SPF 50 and non-comedogenic because you don’t want your pores to be clogged.
  • One last and final touch to a perfect glow: Add a few drops of Almond or Avocado Oil to your night routine for flawless, radiant skin in the morning. The oil works its magic while you’re asleep and also prevents the skin from getting dehydrated.

Follow these tips, and no one can stop you from getting your fabulous, natural glow during Ramadan.
