August 17, 2021 (IANSlife) To promote grass-roots work to provide employment opportunities to the local artisans this Rakshabandhan, Nourish Mantra partners with Sampoorna Bamboo Kendra. The initiative aims to open avenues for artisans of Melghat, spread awareness about sustainable development and eco-friendly practices. 

As part of their collaboration with Sampoorna Bamboo Kendra, every Nourish Mantra's e-commerce order gets shipped with a bit of extra delight tucked in for the siblings across the world. The skincare brand will be shipping an eco-friendly Rakhi to celebrate the festival while lifting the spirits of Melghat's artisans.

Sampoorna Bamboo Kendra began its operations in 1995 to employ the youth in Maharashtra. With bamboo at its core, the NGO specialises in designing and building low-cost bamboo housings and bamboo handicrafts. It not only offers a platform but also end-to-end training for the artisans to improve the quality of production and skill up-gradation. They also organise yearly tree plantation drives and training programs for women, students, and children.  As a staunch believer of planet-friendly practices, the NGO has contributed immensely towards the environment and increased employment and exposure for rural artisans of Melghat.
